A Southern tradition in Fall is to have a Chicken Stew. Family and friends gather outside on a cool night to enjoy the stew that has been slow cooked in a huge pot over a flame.
Should I take the job?? Oh, I’ve had the hardest time making up my mind!
We’ve accomplished a lot of things during our first year of homesteading!
I decided to take this project into my own hands.
I have a job opportunity which I am prayerfully considering.

I have a confession to make…
I’ve tried them all: snap traps, sticky pads, rat poison, electronic devices, and even cats… none of them work with any comparison to this flawless mouse catcher!
I am so glad the day finally came… You know, the whole DTV switch day.

Sometimes it can get discouraging. We have such high expectations of ourselves, and so many things to get done in a day. Some days we look around our disheveled home and feel like we have accomplished nothing.
