Simple and Delicious Italian Chicken

This is one of my favorite, extremely simple but super delicious meals to make. All it takes is some chicken breasts and a bottle of Italian Dressing ( I prefer the homemade kind!). Poke holes in your chicken with a fork, pour the dressing over the top, and allow it to marinate for at least 30 min. I prefer to let it sit all day in the dressing. When ready, bake at 350* for about 30 min. or until done. Do not remove the chicken from the marinade, just bake it in the juice.

Your chicken will be tender, and packed with delicious flavor! See? Super easy, huh?! You can even do this with frozen chicken. Just pour the dressing over the frozen breasts and allow to marinate while thawing in fridge.

  1. Thank you for sharing this! I read this post yesterday afternoon & served this meal last night for dinner! We are in the process of moving (!!!) so are trying to use up what we have in the fridge & freezers & this was perfect! Three large chicken breasts & about 12 oz. of Italian dressing…yum, yum, yum! We had about 1 1/3 breasts leftover, which made delicious chicken soft tacos for lunch today! Have you ever tried this with a balsamic or red wine vinaigrette type dressing? Thanks again, friend!

    • Oh good, Stacey! I’m so glad you tried it and you all enjoyed it. Leftovers in soft tacos sounds delicious!! I’ll have to remember that. I love it chopped up on a salad too. I don’t think I’ve tried any vinaigrettes this way, but I bet it would be good too 🙂 We’ve also done it grilled as others have commented, and it’s SO GOOD like that as well!

  2. Delicious (and fast) cooked on the George Forman Grill and after resting for about 5-10 minutes sliced thinly and added to salad. Yum, yum, yum.

    Guess what’s for dinner?

  3. Ive cooked this in the crockpot before, too. I belive the flavor is a little stronger if you cook it in the crockpot, I think I would prefer it cooked in the oven, although Ive never tried it that way before.
