New Homeschool Section

I’ve decided to create a new page on my site dedicated to Homeschooling. I figure, since most homesteaders are also homeschoolers, this information is relevant to my blog. And since I’ve been a teacher for over 11 years now, I have lots of lesson plans and ideas to share!

So, if you have little ones in your home you may be interested in checking out this new feature! Since I’m only up to second grade with Jada, that is as far as I will cover for now. As she progresses, so will my lesson plans.

I start teaching my children at about 9 months old, so even if your child is still a baby it’s never too early to start checking out my lesson plans!

I will be writing new posts as I am able, so check back every now and then. My mind is bursting with ideas… unfortunately, I don’t have the time to sit down and write them all out in one sitting. So be patient with me!

If you have any questions or suggestions for how to teach certain topics, please feel free to ask. I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. I am homeschooling 4 children currently: ages 16, 14, 12, and 8. We use a lot of christian Light education material. It is christian based, very reasonably priced and works well! Their math is wonderful! It is also a workbook based curriculum, so it’s easy to keep it all neat, tidy and together! Best of all, my children are all learning! from the struggler to the gifted! Just passing this on as it REALLY helped us lots! God Bless! http://www.clp.org

  2. My son just turned 3 years old last month, so I’d be thrilled to see what you’ve done for preschool. Looking forward to reading your homeschool ideas!
