Homemade Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

Because it’s hot outside. And I’m craving it desperately. Here’s my favorite fresh squeezed lemonade recipe.

Anybody wanna bring me a bag of lemons? Anybody??

The last time I made lemonade we almost drank it all before I remembered to take a picture for a future post. Be thankful you at least get the partially filled jar, lol!

*Makes about 5 cups*

  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (approx. 6 lemons)
  • 2/3 cup sugar

Combine all ingredients in a jar or pitcher, stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Get it nice and cold before serving, or pour over ice cubes and enjoy!

I think I’m gonna go make this from the bottled lemon juice right now… I’ll let you know how it turns out!

*Okay, I’m back. Great news! The bottled lemon juice substitute tastes great! Just use 1 cup concentrate instead of fresh squeezed. Yummmm.

  1. There’s nothing like fresh squeezed lemonade! Yum! yesterday I also got a craving for something different – our lemon tree is still boasting beautiful lemons – and is loaded with blossoms for a new crop already! So I made fresh lemon marmalade! I have pics over at my blog! (and the recipe)

  2. Now I have to go to the store and get me some lemons! I have never had fresh squeezed lemonade, i grew up on the powder but love to drink lemon infused water (lemon juice + rind & water).

  3. We adore making our own lemonade. One day, we’re hoping our lemon tree will actually produce, so we can get our lemons real locally!
    Enjoy your sweet treat!

  4. As soon as I was done reading your post, I went and squeezed 4 lemon and 2 oranges, added about 3/4 cup of sugar, and filled the jug to make a gallon. We poured it over ice and enjoyed the refreshment. It is warm here today also!!

  5. We LOVE homemade (freshly squeezed) lemonade. It goes GREAT with popcorn on Sunday evenings! I like the pulp in it and even cut the rind into slivers and add it sometimes. It is also good made with honey or maple syrup. Enjoy your refreshing drink!
